Dr. Pedro Cuartas - Founder, Director of Operations, DSM-MD

Dr. Pedro J. Cuartas is the Founder of the Collaborative Airway Management Summit (CAMS™) and a practicing dentist with extensive experience in dental sleep medicine, interdisciplinary airway-focused healthcare, and clinical implementation systems. He serves as Clinical Director of South LA Dental Sleep Medicine and has spent years helping integrate practical airway-focused treatment pathways within both dental and medical environments.

Dr. Cuartas is passionate about advancing collaborative models that bridge physicians, dentists, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers through practical implementation, continuity of care, diagnostics integration, and patient-centered treatment coordination. His work focuses heavily on transforming airway-focused healthcare from isolated treatment silos into collaborative long-term care pathways centered around real-world implementation and improved patient outcomes.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Cuartas is actively involved in education, mentorship, and development of interdisciplinary systems designed to help clinicians better integrate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) screening, diagnostics, treatment pathways, workflow coordination, and continuity-of-care strategies into everyday practice.

At CAMS™, Dr. Cuartas will help lead educational sessions focused on collaborative airway management, clinical screening, treatment integration, implementation systems, interdisciplinary communication, and long-term patient-centered care models. His vision for CAMS™ is to create a boutique immersive summit experience centered around meaningful collaboration, practical implementation, and transformational interdisciplinary healthcare relationships.


BIO: Dr. Michael Watkins, MD

Dr. Michael Watkins, MD, serves as a strategic advisor for physician integration and engagement for the Collaborative Airway Management Summit (CAMS).

Dr. Watkins is passionate about advancing collaboration among physicians, dentists, and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and expand access to comprehensive care. He believes that the most complex challenges in the diagnosis and management of OSA are best addressed through integrated, multidisciplinary approaches that bring together diverse perspectives and expertise.

As a physician advisor to CAMS™, Dr. Watkins hopes to foster meaningful engagement among physicians and other healthcare professionals while supporting the summit’s mission of building practical, collaborative pathways for patient care. His commitment to education, innovation, and professional relationships reflects the core values upon which CAMS™ was founded.

Dr. Watkins is particularly interested in helping bridge the gap between medical and dental providers, creating opportunities for collaboration that ultimately benefit patients, practices, and communities alike.
